S600e Card Reader
The S600e Card Reader is designed for use as part of an integrated on-line access control system and is used to control access to restricted areas or in special applications where card activation of machinery is required.
The reader, which has an on-board 10-100 Ethernet connection, communicates directly with the AC2000 host server removing the need for an intelligent control panel in the system design.
Designed for use with all card technologies the S600e device supports two read heads or an Entry/Exit reader configuration is supported for IN/OUT control.
Features
- versal Reader - supports all card technologies, i.e. Wiegand, Watermark, Magnetic Stripe, Barcode, Proximity and Smart Card
- 100/10 Mbps Ethernet or RS485 host connection
- Communicates directly with the host server - no need for an intelligent control panel in system design
- Structured database allows storage of large amounts of cardholder records for off-line card validation
- Backlit Monochrome Graphics LCD display with heating element provides localised character sets and instantly recognisable icons under the most extreme conditions
- Keypad for configuration and optional personal Identification Number (PIN)
- 4 analogue inputs to monitor alarm conditions and 2 changeover relay outputs to activate door strike or other equipment
- Remote programming facility to download program
- Broadcast Facility to enable selective operational mode

Ethernet Based Single Door Access Control
EtherProx™ Entry
EtherProx Entry has an embedded web server, which allows the user to carry out card database administration and diagnostic functions remotely. This means the user can directly access the EtherProx Entry device using a standard web browser from any remote computer or company intranet computer.
Despite its small size, the EtherProx Entry can display messages of up to 32 characters, which provides an administrator or an end-user immediate information about a transaction event such as "Access Denied". The unit controls all local door strikes, eliminating the need for additional controllers or I/O (Input/Output) units.
EtherProx Entry device contains its own database of up to 10,000 cards. The reader can make access control decisions independent of the PC, eliminating the need for a control panel in the system design. A PIN number can be allocated to some or all of the cards for additional security.
Features
- Industry’s first Ethernet based single door control unit
- Embedded web server for remote database maintenance
- Uses proximity technology for ease of use and cost effectiveness
- Three LED indicators to visually confirm or deny entry
- Suitable for indoor and outdoor installation
- Backlit LCD display shows easy to understand messages for the user
- Keypad for added security
- Supports Entry/Exit configuration for IN/OUT control
- Single piece construction designed for quick and easy installation
- 10Base-T Ethernet interface on board

Counting people - eliminating the guessing game
PedMon
PedMon is a simple and effective real-time people monitoring system. Exceeding the limitations of standard pedestrian analysis methods, the PedMon system simultaneously combines counts and direction of movement to provide accurate data on pedestrian flow and occupancy levels within public areas.
Emphasizing the ability to monitor doorways of various widths, the system is easily installed and makes no restriction on pedestrian movement thereby ensuring even the most challenging environments can be observed.
With real-life scenarios in mind, the system is designed to manage busy foot traffic periods when high levels of pedestrians cross a doorway at the same time. Whether passing through the sensors alone or in a group, entering or exiting, each individual is uniquely identified and counted by the system PedMon is revolutionizing people-counting, opening up endless possibilities for organizations within all industries. For today’s cost-conscious business, this information resource can be used to make informed decisions to reduce operating costs and improve the overall effectiveness of the organization
Features
- Real-Time count of In/Out numbers and occupancy
- Ability to monitor wide doorways
- Graphical display of sensor locations
- Ability to network many locations for analysis
- High level of accuracy
- Data can be displayed and stored locally or through network for historical analysis
- Data can be exported to standard software packages (eg Excel)
- Modular Architecture
- No special reflective surfaces required
